INVERTOFIX is the first product on the market containing safe, natural enzymes (extracted from Saccharomyces cerevisiae). This special supplement for beekeeping (an enzyme preparation) is used to convert regular table sugar into inverted sugar syrup for bee feeding. This product allows beekeepers to prepare high-quality syrup at home more affordably, with a composition closer to honey (sucrose is broken down into glucose and fructose).
Key Advantages of Using INVERTOFIX:
•No Crystallization: The prepared syrup does not crystallize in the combs during the entire wintering period.
•Healthy Composition: The prepared syrup does not form hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), which is harmful to bees.
Dosage:
•Exact ratio: 5 ml of "Invertofix" solution = 1 kg of dry sugar.
•Example: If you dissolve 10 kg of sugar, you will need 50 ml of the solution.
Sugar Syrup Preparation:
1. Prepare a classic sugar syrup using clean water and white sugar. The following ratios are most commonly used in beekeeping:
a. 3:2 (Thick syrup for winter): 3 kg of sugar and 2 liters of water.
b. 1:1 (Thinner syrup for spring / stimulation): 1 kg of sugar and 1 liter of water.
2. Completely dissolve the sugar in the water.
Inversion Process (Fermentation):
1. The most important rule: Allow the syrup to cool down before adding the enzyme. The temperature of the syrup must not exceed +40 °C; otherwise, the enzymes will die, and the product will not work.
2. Pour the required dose of "Invertofix" into the cooled syrup.
3. Mix very well to ensure the enzyme is evenly distributed throughout the entire volume.
4. Leave the syrup to mature (the time depends on the ambient temperature):
a. If the room / syrup temperature is around +40 °C – hold for 12 hours.
b. If the room / syrup temperature is around +20 °C (room temperature) – hold for 24 hours.
5. It is recommended to briefly stir the syrup every few hours.
After this period, the sucrose is successfully broken down into glucose and fructose. The syrup is fully ready and can be poured into bee feeders.
